Adventure Time in the Paddock
This is all about the freedom of the outdoors—blending nature play, discovery, and horsemanship into one action-packed experience. At The Outlook Riding Academy, we’ve created a purposeful sanctuary for children aged 4 to 16 to swap screens for sunshine, developing genuine confidence and independence through a deep bond with our horses and the land.
From bush walks and animal spotting to team-building and nature exploration, every minute is designed to get kids' boots dirty and their spirits high.
While horsemanship and horse connection are at the heart of every session, please note that this is a holistic paddock exploration session rather than a mounted riding lesson. Students will develop deep skills working with the horses on the ground and in the saddle, but not every session is a mounted riding session.
Why The Outlook Adventures
Small Groups: 3–10 students for quality coaching and safety.
Hands-on Growth: More than just a riding lesson; it's about connection, exploration, and growing at their own pace.
Parent Flexibility: You are welcome to stay and join our community or "drop and go"—whichever works best for your family.
What the Adventure Looks Like
Every session is a rotation of nature play, paddock exploration, and horsemanship. To ensure everyone gets the most out of their time, we enjoy group activities together and split into Junior and Senior groups for age-appropriate tasks.
While not every session is fully mounted, every session is hands-on:
Equine Education: Mastering horse anatomy, nutrition, and health through observing the herd, feeding, grooming, and leading.
Behaviour & Communication: Learning to "read" body language—from eye shape to ear position—to interact safely and build a bond based on trust.
Paddock & Stable Management: Building teamwork through real-world skills such as saddlery, yard maintenance, and training course setup.
Equine-Assisted Social Skills: Linking herd roles (leader, watcher, nurturer) to human group dynamics to build social confidence.
Nature Awareness: Engaging in quiet observation, animal tracking, and noticing the rhythms and sounds of nature. Plus, bush walks on the property.
Riding Progression: Quality time in the saddle covering everything from control fundamentals to mounted games and jumping.
Space to Grow: We provide a safe, inclusive environment where every student is encouraged to explore, experiment, and lead at their own pace.

Help Us Shape Term 2
We want to build a schedule that works for your family. To help us finalise our Term 2 calendar, please reply to this email remond6@bigpond.com with:
Your two preferred days (Monday–Friday)
Your preferred time slot (9am–11am OR 10am–12pm)
Example Reply: "Every Thursday, 9am–11am works best for us!"
We are here to shape these sessions around the kids, so the more you share about your child’s needs or your specific schedule, the better we can structure the groups.
